I was born in 1981 and lived the first five years of my life on a small farm town in Illinois. I’ve had three brothers and three sisters, some biological and some through marriage. I was named after my oldest sister Stephanie who passed away from leukemia at a young age. After my parent's separated we moved to a small town, where I would later be known as the kid who could draw and loved sports. I was an all conference athlete and state champion high jumper. I’ve worked jobs as a landscaper, in construction, a video store, at Best Buy as well as loaded trucks and been a driver helper with UPS before dropping out of my second year of a generic art degree in college to pursue a career in video games. I'm an art director in the video games industry since 2005. I am married with two boys and three girls. I’ve lived on both coasts, in Virginia with my father in law, who was a chef at the White House, and in San Francisco, working for multiple game studios before returning to the midwest. I have coached sports teams in my small town and try to stay healthy though daily walks and nature photography. I continue to explore writing, graphic novels, carpentry, photography, 3d printing and finding new ways to live and love life.
